Fabrication of a Flexible Aqueous Textile Zinc-Ion Battery in a Single Fabric Layer

Zinc-ion batteries (ZIB), with various manganese oxide-based cathodes, provide a promising solution for textile-based flexible energy storage devices. This paper demonstrates, the first time, aqueous ZIB manganese-based cathode fabricated in single woven polyester cotton textile. The textile was functionalized polymer membrane layer that fills gaps between yarns, enabling fine control over depth of penetration spray deposited oxide and zinc anode. leaves an uncoated region textile-polymer network acts as battery’s separator. battery cell vacuum impregnated electrolyte, achieving good wettability electrodes electrolyte. Additionally, choice cathodic material its influence electrochemical performance ion investigated commercially available Manganese (IV) (II, III) oxide. (10.9 mAh g −1 or 35.6 µA h.cm −2 ) achieved better than (8.95 24.2 µAh cm at 1 mA (0.3 A ). work presents novel all-textile architecture demonstrates capability using oxides cathodes full ZIB.
